2024 Jeep Gladiator Towing Capacity

The 2024 Gladiator offers six configurations ranging from 4,000 to 7,700 lbs. The Sport is available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic, both rated at 4,000 lbs in standard form. The Sport Max Tow package transforms the truck with a 4.10 axle ratio, heavy-duty engine cooling, and a Class IV receiver to reach 7,700 lbs, the highest Gladiator rating available.

The Willys matches the base Sport at 4,000 lbs. The Mojave and Rubicon both sit at 4,500 lbs, reflecting their heavier off-road equipment (the Rubicon's lockers and disconnecting sway bar, the Mojave's desert-rated suspension) offset by 4.10 gears. At 5,025 to 5,050 lbs curb weight, these two trims are the heaviest in the lineup and carry only 1,200 lbs of payload each.

The manual transmission option on the Sport does not change the towing rating (both manual and auto are 4,000 lbs), but it does cost 50 lbs of payload versus the automatic. If you need the 7,700 lb Max Tow rating, the automatic transmission is required.
